# Nook

> Nook connects people's store accounts so their AI agents can get real checkout quotes and buy with the person's approval. Quotes and purchases work today at Amazon, Uber Eats, Instacart, Walmart, Target and Chewy.

Nook is in private beta. A person connects their store accounts once at https://nookstore.xyz/v3/accounts, signing in with their phone. Their agent asks Nook for a quote; Nook reads the store's own checkout in the person's signed-in account and reports the product, quantity, charges, total, address and payment. The order is placed only after the person says yes to that total, in their own words or with Buy on Nook's review page.

Every public page (the homepage, docs, stores, FAQ, pricing, about, contact and privacy) has a Markdown version: add `.md` to its path, or request the page with `Accept: text/markdown`.

An agent needs a partner key; it can register its own (see the guide). The buyer must claim that partner's connection link. Reading a document does not grant access. Never request passwords or payment details in chat, approve on behalf of the buyer, or retry an uncertain order.
